Welcome! I’m Alexis Enanian. A freshman at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In this portfolio you will be following my journey in my English 101 class, you will be viewing my past works throughout this semester. In the following works you will be seeing my growth and how I learned new things and applied them to each assignment.

I believe writing is a great way of expression, sometimes the words can’t get out of your mouth but can easily be written on paper. You write as you think, the first words that come to mind is what goes on the paper. That is the rawest and purest thoughts of a person. There’s no time to “think before you write”. I believe writing is a form of art, the most expressionist form of it. A writer can display any feelings on a paper anonymously saying what they have to without the full confrontation, because in writing theres a lot of meaning. We sit in classes and take about an hour to break down a sentence or two in a book. No one but the author will know the exact meaning of why they wrote that. But we can believe, we can think and put two and two together. Its the beauty of writing it’s however you feel about the words. There is no perfect set way to write, I believe its whatever your emotions lead you to and what you think. There are 7 billion people in the world, with 7 billion different ways of thinking, and feeling, therefore there is 7 billion ways of writing.
